Uninhabited
03:16
|
|

I'm feeling disconnected
I don't exist
How can I hate a body
That I don't inhabit
You could just forget me
Erase me from your brain
The memory's a burden
You shouldn't have to bare it
I don't want to die
But I wouldn't mind falling back to sleep
You feel worse when I cry
I can't apologize
The light begins to fade
When it's out will I feel it in my chest
Missing from my life
Please don't apologize

Stay with me, I don't want to feel alone again
Shivered skins won't affect me when it's not raining
Taps on my window lull me sweetly into you
Your soft breath on my shoulder incubates my dream

I See U In My Dream
02:22
|
|
||
I see you in my dream
Heavy hearts w/ slow breathing
Your skin blends in with the sun-washed plasters
Step close to me lover
I see the tears well in your eyes
I know that you're sorry, just keep on going
You say you're a traveller, draped in threads
But every night you're asleep next to me in my head

Walking Home
04:04
|
|
||
Walking home alone from your house
The sky is many shades of grey
If I decided not to love you
Would you say mean things to me
Streetlight turning on and humming
Like sirens leading me astray
If I decided not to love you
Would you pack up and move away
Rocks are crunching under my feet
And I start picking up my pace
If I decided not to love you
You'd just have to be okay
Think of me when you're walking home
300 miles away in the bitter cold
Your footprints engrave and they'll fossilize
Put on display for my tired eyes

Blue Ridge Boy

|
|

Blue Ridge boy what do you do with my heart
You put it in a mountain and disappear from my eyes
Blue Ridge boy your name I have forgotten
Your grandfather was a really nice man
He died in a mail truck
Bled out your last love letters
The stains on the street are a constant reminder
Blue Ridge boy I still sleep with the light on
In hopes that you will soon come home
My body will decay
Now my lungs are molded, ugly
They once were the cutest flowers in all the town
Blue Ridge boy I hope your hair has gotten longer
Remember when I'd braid it all up
The locks have come unravelled
And you are lost for good now
You'll find me in a mailbox
At the abandoned jailhouse

Take a walk in a neighborhood you don't live in
Carry your new jacket and vellum pad too large for your arms
Say hello to the restaurant owners who are setting tacos and tamales outside their front door
Walk 1 block
Say hello to the grandmas on the sidewalk
Sitting in front of their table filled with trinkets and cloths
Walk 2 blocks
Say hello to a man sitting next to a table filled with soaps
They are free if you need it
Thank you but I am not from here
Just passing through
On your way back home you will feel like you're leaving home
But it's not your home-you're just passing through
This home isn't your home either
Is your home your bed? Feels comfortable

Streets hello three boys lying on the side of the street under the shade of a tree back on the grass phone in the air feet on the concrete a man vigorously rigorously paints the black metal fence if you turn on the street you'll see construction workers replacing panels of windows and on the same home there will be T-shirts hanging from the fence I think I took a wrong turn

Last night I relived a friends death
But they didn't die, and we went to the mall
Look at the Build-A-Bear creature in the fish tank
Pick up the framed photo of a calf
He told me people don't always die right away
Walk up to the window
Pay to pet the doggy
But the doggy was a man
And the claws were the tokens
But all the tokens were incomplete or broken
I can't see what you're making
But I will help you fix the machine
Do you want to give me a ride home?
You can stay the night
When we go home u will stop to fix ur _____
Mountainside gas station with nobody there
But when we leave we are surrounded by people
We can stay the night
Lick the chocolate off of my fingers
Taunt me w/ an envelope attached to a string

Any inspiration to write comes when I'm in my bed or walking south on my street
Two months ago I wrote a song like many others
About how when I first met U I could not imagine how important U would be in my life
We fit together
Like puzzle pieces
Don't use those words though
Just use the idea
--
I think of J and feel inspired
Two words
Jome and sorp
And how loveing is real
It's real
--
G inspires
In the promotion of bootleg
Ripping off
Ripping off my art which rips off their art which rips off a junior high schoolers art made in 1985
A competition issued by the country
They probably just thought it would be funny
--
Lying in the city silence
Dennis Wilson sings softly from my phone
"Ooh I love you~ I really do"
The music gets quiet through decrescendo
The blanket over my ear or the pinky on my phone speaker
My heart beat is thick~ it moves the blanket
The sound reminds me of a loud clock
The clock I hear while working
With hot glue~ Box cutters and needles
Burns and scars forever on my hands
The hands that hold the song
A sound that makes me anxious
"Hold me close~ completely free"

Sometimes you have to yell to the hummingbirds
"Hey! I am here too!"
They won't listen-they'll continue to fight over the clear sugar water
If you stand still for long enough they'll think you're a sweet drink too :o)
At least you have convinced me of that
You're sleeping in my head
You are a star
The space in which I sleep
How often do you remember
Teddy Bears
Lemons and Lime
Horses
Doggies
Black cats that look like Ratso
Little flowers
If you look up there will be doggies
All doggies go to heaven
All doggies in the window
You'll tell them you're excited for your best friends romantic endeavors
You will tell them that they're scary
If you look down there will be more doggies
Doggies shopping for cowboy boots
Doggies carrying a to-go cup of potato salad
Saving it for later
